Ocean's Eleven (2001): Directed by Steven Soderbergh with George Clooney, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts.

One of my favorites is definitely Ocean's Eleven. This is a remake of the classic Rat Pack film and is about gambling as much as it is about crime. This film gathers together a great collection of silver screen talent and gives you an inside look at the sophisticated security systems used in modern day casinos. The exciting heist scene under the direction of Steven Soderbergh really makes the film. If you haven't seen it - see it. Also, look for the sequel, Ocean's Twelve coming soon to a theatre near you.

For something a little different check out Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Another collection of great film talent appears in this film adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's book about a drug-filled trip across the U.S. Thompson and his insane lawyer load up their car, the 'red shark' with as much drugs and alcohol as it can carry and head out across the American west in search of the 'American dream'. Adventures in dementia fill the screen and is a must see for fans of Hunter S. Thompson, Vegas and drug and alcohol abuse.
